I’d panic for a second at the situation but that would be when I’d teach my son even more about dog behavior/interaction. I realize not everyone is as rational, though.

If I was mom I would’ve been apologizing before the kid even made it to the dog so the first statement wouldn’t have been taken offensively at all.

@vegannabananna @thuhcatlady Exactly. She could’ve stopped at the first statement, she didn’t need to tell the parents to leash their child. It was unnecessary to be that ugly about an obviously small child and the amount of people so eager to defend that stance tells me everything I need to know about them.
