GTFP II: Peru 🇵🇪 - Workshop on data analytics and data quality

From 2 to 6 March, a new GTFP-II activity was successfully held in Peru, focusing on data analytics and data quality.

The workshop aimed to strengthen capacities and provide technical assistance to Peru’s Customs Administration in enhancing data analytics linked to its national valuation database. It brought together SUNAT officers working in customs valuation, risk management, and data management. Through a dynamic mix of presentations, discussions, and hands-on exercises, participants gained practical tools to improve the quality, structure, and analytical use of customs data.

As a result, SUNAT has reinforced its technical capacity to apply data analytics in customs valuation risk analysis, while identifying key priority actions to improve data governance, data quality procedures, and the use of advanced analytical models. These efforts will contribute to stronger risk management and support the continued modernization of customs processes in Peru.
