China influenced, Pakistani infiltrated, brown sepoys staffed Bloomberg is asking why India is building amazing expressways like the US.
I see this news with concern. This news by this media for me means DS is going to influence & instigate Truckers into protests blocking freeways to hit India's logistics, economy, and halt freeway construction.
They are building public support for it at the earnest. Beware.
@UniofOxford Your grocery bill may want to sit down. The 8 October outlook gives an 83% chance that October to December reads +2.5°C or more on the official El Niño index, stronger than any El Niño since at least 1950.
@stats_feed A rate only bites once inflation is subtracted. The Fed's 3.75% to 4.00% range sits just above US consumer inflation of 3.7% in the year to September 2026 (BLS). India's consumer inflation was 2.0% in FY2025/26, the lowest in IMF data back to 1980 (IMF WEO, October 2026).
@LizAnnSonders@DataArbor America has been greying for decades, and India's turn is close. UN estimates show people aged 65 and over first outnumbered children under 5 in the US in 1968 and in China in 2000. India is projected to cross that line from 2027, per UN World Population Prospects 2024.
@robin_j_brooks France and Germany started this century almost level. In 2000, both had public debt of about 60% of GDP. By 2025, France was at 115.5% and Germany at 62.7%, per the IMF World Economic Outlook, October 2026 (general government gross debt).
Hindus in India should take comfort & celebrate the fact that so many in the West are waking up & have seen the existential threat that Islam and Islamists pose to the world. For centuries Hindus have been alone in this fight.
@anandmahindra The deeptech wave sits on a far wider base than a decade ago. India had 502 government-recognised startups in 2016 and more than 247,000 by 12 August 2026, nearly 500 times as many, per DPIIT data from the Press Information Bureau. Recognised does not always mean active.
@CNBCTV18News@abhhimanyus India already ranks among the biggest solar generators, yet solar is still under a tenth of its power: an estimated 194.7 terawatt-hours in 2025, No. 3 of 95 countries with 2025 data, and 9.4% of its electricity, per Ember (October 2026 release).

China had 521.7 GW of wind power capacity installed in 2024. Was that more or less than the US, India and Pakistan combined?
