My first ever Kotak credit card is here! 👀

Been with Kotak Bank for 10+ years, but never really liked their CC portfolio until Kotak Air+ showed up on my app with a FYF offer.

The biggest attraction for me is the Accor & Qatar transfer partners, especially after Axis removed both. They're also with HSBC, but I can't really rely on HSBC given how they operate. 😅

It's a decent 2% base reward card, with:

🎯 5,000 miles on ₹1.5L quarterly spends
✈️ 5% via Kotak Unbox on flights, hotels and vouchers
🎁 Gift cards and gold aren't excluded as of now
🏨 1 mile = ₹1 on flights and hotels
🔄 2:1 for transfer partners

Went with the RuPay variant since there are no miles on forex spends, so Visa or Mastercard didn't make much sense. RuPay also gets some occasional offers.

There's also a glitch currently allowing you to apply for the card as LTF:

Apply for LTF at your own risk though. The bank can roll this back anytime.

You get 2,500 miles on renewal against the ₹3K fee, which is almost full value back if transferred to Accor.

Spend ₹4L in the first year and the next year's fee is waived anyway.

So the current FYF offer makes this a good 2 year card.

The 40K milestone points have now been credited for one last ime🎉

Missed the spend and earn period though. Spends weren't there during that window, otherwise this would have been another 15K voucher on top. 😅

Renewal for this one is in July 2027 so not closing the card for now. will remain in the drawer until then.
