@CottonEyeAndy@matt_waye @huzi9mm We only have 100mm of water over the pipes at this end of the field, 180 incline gives 280mm of water over the pipe on the intake and eleminates any vortexing
I’m incredibly #proud to be apart of the #australiancotton industry. An industry consistently learning about better ways to manage resources; from water to people and everything in between. Family run businesses using science to create a better future for the next generation.
We’re proud of our role in grower led research and opportunity to present on #Keytah system comparison trial at #cottonconference18 - so many take home points but #automation is coming and can be progressively installed and it doesn’t cost you your #WUE ✅✅
Come to the @GwydirValley field day at Keytah, Moree on the 8th of February to see full field installations of smart syphons. Visit https://t.co/vf7B6vG1WZ … for more details.
This video highlights the Installation process and the end result of irrigating cotton with smart syphon's. Smart syphon replaces hand syphons, improving efficiency and productivity throughout the flood irrigation industry. #cotton#automation#smartsyphon#waterirrigation
@tomcroser@smartsyphon@lskerman@flewitt777 The tips are connected with 316 Stainless Steel wire rope. We have engineered for longevity.
This picture is raising water level slowly to Sub in the pipes through the bank.
May be irrigating in next few days as temp is high this week. If this happens than will have more pictures
@tomcroser@PaulK201712@lskerman@flewitt777 Yes this replaces the hand syphon over the bank. No valves are required and the gate doesn’t control the flow. Our system is a through pipe that swivels to control the flow gangs of about 100 pipes at a time. You irrigate your field as you would at the press of a button.
