If I can choose more than one course, I would go for IT Support, Cloud Security, DevOps and Cybersecurity. But if it's only one course that's allowed, I would go for cybersecurity cos I have done the introduction.
Day 11/31 The simplest flaw can become the master key (Citigroup, 2011)
In 2011, Citigroup data breach exposed personal information of hundreds of thousands of North American customers, including names, account numbers, and contact information.
The attackers exploited vulnerabilities in the customer website to impersonate cardholders and access sensitive data over a period of months before detection.
The attackers leapfrogged between the bank accounts of various Citi customers by inserting different account numbers into the string of text found in the browser's address bar. They wrote code that would repeat this process several hundreds of thousands of times which was the primary method of data collection.
Ultimately, the total loss from the attack resulted in a $2.7 million loss for the company.
Sometimes, the smallest cracks in code create the largest breaches.
