@1BlockerApp@jcscaliger I also just noticed this limitation too. Quite the bummer. According to this support article, it won't use Mail Privacy Protection "in some cases", eg. if a VPN is active: https://t.co/EfcLm7N9je
I hope you are able to find a way to get the Firewall to work with MPP.
@siracusa@atpfm Ah, interesting, thanks for the info. I should’ve followed that little asterisk on “end-to-end encrypted” 😅
So I guess the answer is:
Messages in the Cloud + iCloud Backup = Gvmnt can see all
Messages in the Cloud without iCloud Backup = (theoretically) safe
@siracusa unsure if someone mentioned this already, but your comment on @atpfm 443 on the use of Messages in the Cloud leading to govmnt being able to read your messages (https://t.co/GtXLlO6XDW) seems inaccurate, cos it’s (supposed to be) E2E encrypted: https://t.co/ddJY0NUC1X
@caiofbpa @daringfireball Noticed this as well. Here’s a comparison with actual iOS system on-device speech-to-text from @BenLumenDigital https://t.co/Kp6Y5H4vxN
In case anyone is wondering, the Magic Keyboard for iPad does work with @theRoostStand (must be on the lowest setting if you want a completely vertical screen)
@vlanci Was watching Prisoner of Azkaban last night and was reminded that it was you that intro'd me to HP by way of the Gold Class thing you organised back in the day for that film 🤗🙏🙌🏻

@flexibits whenever I tap on the complication on the watch, you can see it switch to the tasks view just before it opens up the next event. This means when I hit back, I’m in the tasks view, but I think it should go back to the events.
@Atron45 @jobbies@flexibits@airmailer …I’ve gladly given them my money in the past. But at this price level it makes it more difficult for casual users to become paying customers. I would say I’m neither a power user nor a casual user, somewhere in between. So I’m still deciding for me if it’s worth it.
@Atron45 @jobbies@flexibits@airmailer I wouldn’t call it “nuts”. I’m sure it’s a lot of work to build your own custom engines for Exchange, CalDAV etc (most apps just use iOS calendars), and I think the interaction & UI design from Flexibits is incredible. So they work really hard and deserve to get paid I think…
@flexibits@jobbies I was kinda hoping for something like this: Previous paid updates were more infrequent, but I think every 2-3 years is fairly common.
So subscription price could’ve been (F2 Mac Price + F2 iPhone Price + F2 iPad Price) / 2.5
But it’s more like (F2 combined price) / 1.6
@flexibits@kemayo Yeah I get that unlocking F2 for macOS for someone who only bought iOS makes no sense. I was just thinking for those that had bought *all* platforms before, it would’ve been _extra nice_, if maybe iOS was brought up to feature parity with F2 macOS ;)
