Kicking off the new year, our paper by @leo_speidel et al. is out describing what to me is a breakthrough in ancient genomics. By using genealogies to study ancestry we can get much more resolution to study finer-scale history. We call this method Twigstats.
Study the atlas of ISrael’s genocide. Facts speak louder than lies, action speaks louder than words.
Dr. Mads
The patterns we have observed concerning Israel’s military conduct in Gaza indicate a systematic and organised campaign to destroy life, conditions necessary for life, and life-sustaining infrastructure.
https://t.co/sn1K5V4T2T collected and analysed data across six areas:
Spatial Control – the physical shaping of Gaza according by a strategic design;
Displacement – the repeated, forced displacement of civilians and an assessment of Israel’s ‘humanitarian measures’;
Destruction of Agriculture and Water Resources – the destruction of fields, orchards, greenhouses, agricultural and water infrastructure;
Destruction of Medical Infrastructure – the systematic targeting of hospitals and healthcare workers;
Destruction of Civilian Infrastructure – the targeting of public utilities, roads, schools including those acting as shelters, religious buildings, and government buildings;
Targeting of Aid – the systematic targeting of infrastructure and personnel necessary for the transport and distribution of humanitarian aid and the preparation of food.
YOUR MOBILE - PAID FOR IN BLOOD?
Did you know that your Tesla, your iPhone or even your favourite Google product may have all been paid for with the lives of children worked literally to death? It's a story of exploitation and abuse for profit - taking place right now in the heart of Africa.
COLDEST BRITISH CONFESSION YET
Mere years after presiding over the Nuremberg trials, Britain was unleashing the same horror on their colonies in Africa. During the struggle for independence in Kenya, unspeakable abuse was meted out to the displaced native population, whose only crime was wanting their land back. In this clip, the callousness of Britain is on full display in the form of a colonial-era British officer, Terence Gavanagh, responsible for torturing thousands of Kenyans on suspicion of their involvement with the Mau Mau freedom fighters. For his services, the Queen awarded this dishonourable man with one of the British Crown's most esteemed accolades, Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).
While some call for letting all that be water under the bridge, others are raising questions about the incumbent head of state, King Charles III, who has refused to apologise. He instead expressed 'regret' for these and other crimes. Plus, the British project remains intact. British conservancies control nearly 8 per cent of Kenya, uprooting local communities. Major tea-producing companies, such as Finlay and Unilever, continue occupying land more than six decades after supposed independence.
This clip is from a 2002 BBC documentary, 'Kenya: White Terror,' which caught heat from the UK's Office of Communications (OFCOM) for 'mishandling' the interview with Gavanagh. The British regulatory service should have appreciated the honest line of questioning toward a decorated former colonial British officer. We certainly did.

AMERICANS TAUGHT DISTORTED HISTORY OF SLAVERY
Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, it remains a stubborn myth that the North of the US was not involved in slavery. The prevailing narrative is that slavery was only deeply entrenched in the societal fabric of the South.
In this clip, speaking in support of H.R. 40, a bill proposing a commission to study reparations for slavery, filmmaker Katrina Browne, a Philadelphia native, explains how the North was complicit in slavery.
Along with nine relatives, Browne retraced her own family journey, discovering that they were the largest slave-trading family in US history - transporting over 12,000 Africans to the Americas in chains. She recounts that learning the history of her Rhode-Island ancestors led to the realisation that the only reason most Americans are ignorant of the North’s slave history is because Americans are taught a distorted version of history.
Browne spotlights facts that contradict the idea that the North had little involvement, including the fact that Rhode Island, where her family roots lie, sent more ships to Africa in the European slave trade than any other state in the slave business, which spanned across centuries. A wide array of industries in the North profited as a result - from shipping to finance - meaning that slavery was largely responsible for the economic rise of the US as a whole.
Browne ended by stating that an understanding of true history should come with acceptance of the realities of what Black people were subjected to at the hands of White enslavers. She said that what Black people want is true understanding and repair, which must encompass meaningful solutions such as reparations to rectify the injustices, not revenge.

I urge medical professionals worldwide to pursue the severance of all ties with Israel as a concrete way to forcefully denounce Israel's full destruction of the Palestinian healthcare system in Gaza, a critical tool of its ongoing genocide.

‘Gaza has changed the world’, says journalist and author Matt Kennard.
‘It exposed all pro-genocide governments around the world. But freedom and justice loving people in their millions are with Palestine,’ Kennard said after receiving an award at an event in London on Saturday
What's wrong with 1sr@el?
A much easier question would be "what's not wrong with 1sr@el "!
An old interview with @MaxBlumenthal that will continue to hold true as long as 1sr@el is allowed to exist!
The absolute nobility of these people, in their most hurt and exposed. The world looks at them like fish in an aquarium, sadistically separated from human society by a transparent impenetrable wall, slowly being killed, and under all the horrors visited upon them day and night, they lose not an ounce of their dignity and humanity.
They wanted us to look at Gaza with disgust and hate. We are filled with love and admiration
@MikeJohnson I hope whoever is worse for the United States will win. As a history student and as a historian I used to wonder how empires fall. Now I see it unfold before my very eyes.
