@MikeycosmoD@ThePoniExpress The majority of Buckeye fans who've seen both play at OSU would say we got the right QB. I don't get the feeling Poni and other local sports folks have actually ever seen tape of these guys in college. Poni should go watch a clip of McCord's Syracuse vs. Pitt game at Acrisure.
@NFL@steelers It's pre-season, and he played in the second half against Green Bay's 3rd and 4th strings. He had a good game, but he usually does when there's not pressure or serious competition.
@PolymarketBlitz His 2025 pre-injury stats from the first 6 games (typically thd easier part of the schedule): He completed 103 of 159 passes (64.8%) for 1,100 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions, while rushing for 172 yards and 1 score... Those aren't top 5 stats.
@DenButerbaugh@scottiloss@j0nathant0rr35 Will, Mason, & Drew are all essentially the same size. That's easily proven with a simple Google search. What's not as easy is trying to tell that to an Allar fan who's convinced the Steelers finally got themselves the super-sized QB they were looking for when they drafted him.
@ThePoniExpress Or...maybe it's because Will Howard was a groomsman in Seth McLaughlin's wedding this past weekend in Wyoming. But hey, why look for a reasonable explanation when it doesn't fit your desired narrative.
@BilakRonald@Pirates Because many people might already have plans for earlier in the day. In addition, a lot of groups take busses to the games, and the bus companies may not be able to reschedule for 3 hours earlier on the same day.
@ThePoniExpress 24 Will Howard (WH) vs 25 Ty Simpson (TS)
Comp%: WH 73.1, TS 64.5
Yds: WH 4010, TS 3567
Avg: WH 9.5, TS 7.5
Tds: WH 35, TS 28
Int/Sack WH 10/14, TS 5/28
Rush: WH 226, TS 93
If youโre excited about Simpson, you're either for "anyone but Howard" or int# is your favorite metric.
@NathanABrown9@chris_ferland No one on that coaching staff was going to tell Rodgers he was being benched for anyone else to start, especially not for a rookie.
@MarkMaddenX Skittish under pressure?

@CollegeGameDay@PatMcAfeeShow For all you SEC whiners upset that it's not at the Bama or Georgia game, did you read the part about GameDay hasn't been in the Steel City for 20 years? Do you think you can find it in yourselves to pipe down about the show being in Pittsburgh for 1 day out of the past 2 decades?
