The last semi-official results for the March 5,2024 Presidential Primary Election for the San Mateo County have been released. The final results will be certified today. In the case of a tie, EC 8142 states that both candidates will advance to the General Election. @sanmateoco

Voting machines have been tested & are working perfectly, according to Chief Elections Officer Mark Church. The Elections Office has also set up a machine at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo for the public & election observers to test to confirm the accuracy of the official ballot.

Property Tax payments can now be made via PayPal (an online service fee of 2.355 will apply)

The last day to submit the 2nd installment for payment of property taxes is 4/10. Either in person by 5 pm or postmarked on 4/10. If late, a 10% penalty and a $40 cost is added.

The 1st installment of the 2022-2023 Annual Property Tax Bill is due December 10th. Because the date falls on a weekend, the payment date will be December 12th. It is delinquent if not paid by that date. A 10% penalty will be applied to delinquent payments.
