Thank you to Scott Miller for spending time with our baseball team yesterday afternoon!

Scott, a proud member of the Monroe Catholic Central Class of 1981, was honored earlier in the day as SMCC’s 2025 Alumnus of the Year at our Alumni-Senior Breakfast. He is a nationally recognized MLB writer whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Bleacher Report, https://t.co/vb5YhyieI8, The Los Angeles Times, and more. He co-authored the book “Ninety Percent Mental” and just released his new book, “SKIPPER: Why Baseball Managers Matter and Always Will.” Scott also worked as an analyst for MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM.

After receiving his award, Scott took time to speak with our team, sharing great stories and inspiring messages. We’re so thankful he and his wife, Kim, made the trip back to Monroe – it was a special day for SMCC!

Week #4 of the 2024 SMCC Summer Youth Sports Camps season is in the books! We had over 150 campers join us for our SMCC Cross Country and Falcons Youth Football Camps. Thank you to our incredible host sites, Munson Park and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Academy for having us, and a special shout out to Stephanie Hawkins for capturing wonderful moments at football camp – you can check out all of her photos via the SMCC Football Facebook page.

Next week is the final week of our 2024 SMCC Summer Youth Sports Camps season. On Monday, our Kestrels Volleyball Program will kick off their sold out camp, led by new Head Coach Kim Windham! Then on Saturday, join us for our annual Youth Tennis Camp at Soldiers & Sailors Park!

• SMCC Youth Volleyball Camp – July 15-17 (SOLD OUT)
• SMCC Youth Tennis Camp (Co-Ed) – July 20

Our camps are open to student-athletes from any school district. All campers will receive a t-shirt and an SMCC goodie bag. Tennis camp registration will be closing soon. We highly encourage you to pre-register for camp as soon as possible to ensure your spot!
