@SydneyLWatson I've been keeping them, on and off, since the 70s. Verroa is a huge problem so I suggest figuring out how to stay ahead of them. Randy Oliver is one of my favorite sources of info, along with Kamon Reynolds. Enjoy!

@JesslovesMJK I can only speak of my exp. It costs me about $400 usd to raise 25 meat chickens in my yard. That usually results in a little over 100lb in the freezer. I use mid/high priced feed, locally milled.

@UScrimeReview Ah, I understand your point, but didn't consider it when reading your post. I was bemoaning the fact that (imo) we are so inundated with, and hypnotized by, powerful messaging. To the extent that I do think that tool could be used for good... but it won't.
