So @arbitrum censorship resistance comes down to 9 identifiable people. At least one already self-identified. Might be worth revisiting why blockchains were created in the first place๐คฃ
How it works?
12 people were elected to uphold the Arbitrum constitution.
If 9 agree an emergency action is needed, and the tx is safe to execute, we execute it.
The internal meeting processes are confidential. All I can say is my own thought process.
For me it was a difficult decision.. I was pretty gung ho to freeze the funds... but at first I didn't think it could be done without risking impact to the usage of the chain. But once the technicals were solved around how to do it without potential risk to users. It was a much easier decision.
All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
@griffgreen@JKim_Tran So freezing funds on Arbitrum just requires identifying and pressuring 9 people. At least one already identified himself. You may want to reread the original reason blockchains were invented
Open immutable smart contracts just sitting there on-chain like come poke me bro ๐
Itโs not IF they get rekt.
Itโs literally WEN
@KelpDAO /rsETH just proved it again $280M+ gone in minutes.
Now the real question: whatโs @VitalikButerin gonna say about this one? DeFi is a public bug bounty with infinite money at stake for ready for vibetesting for anyone who have 100/month
