In Norway a 16-year-old girl was so intoxicated after a party that friends left her on a bench outside the hospital. Four men in their twenties took her to a nearby park. She later described being unable to move or speak clearly. The court accepted the sex happened and that she was heavily impaired, then acquitted all four because CCTV “didn’t show her actively fighting” and the men “could have believed she was participating.” They walked free. Being too drunk to stand is apparently still consent if you’re a teenage girl in the wrong country.
