@MileHochStriker@MCCCANM Err, a) "instantaneous vertical speed" is a nonsensical phrase, unless you mean "vertical speed was X at some instant T"; that in itself tells you nothing about forces involved at any given point. b) speed != acceleration
@MileHochStriker@MCCCANM We actually don't know the timeline at all yet -- reports have claimed multiple passengers being involved in subduing the FO and pulling the captain out, no reason (I heard) to assume the person recovering from the dive was even one of them.
@MileHochStriker@MCCCANM Do you think trained pilots have magical yoke control powers utterly inaccessible to common folk? It's not like he executed some complex aerobatics -- he pulled back on the yoke. Possibly overstressing the airframe resulting in the rudder damage (esp. if it was deflected).
@itsjillgardner@alexboge@gronz23 I look at the sky. Everything I observe is compatible with a globe earth; no flat earth theory exists that can simultaneously and consistently explain normal, everyday phenomena. And don't let's get into aviation, that's where it really breaks down...
@enkrack0@Lalo_manca@SomiEkhasomhi What means curvature is false? I asked a question: _why_ would you need to change your attitude to maintain a _constant_ altitude? What physical principle would entail this (in your mind)?
