Adams here is afraid of losing reelection after committing multiple corrupt acts, multiple attempts to subvert the will of the people, and disenfranchisement of opposition.
This "commitment" means nothing if it had to come about due to backlash.
Announce a country wide prayer for water during a drought
Now endorse and pass legislation to build a data center in your state that relies on water for cooling and is owned by a Canadian billionaire.
Now tell everyone that you’re doing it in the name of progress and ignore local concerns for pollution and water reserves
Now announce another drought and ask your constituents to continue trying their best to save water.
You are not going to believe this
Utah Supreme Court ruled against a Republican-led amendment tied to a redistricting effort... just TWO weeks after a judge attended a party at the home of the lawyer who fought against it
She’s now UNDER INVESTIGATION for allegedly having a romantic relationship with this lawyer.
Nothing to see here…
Republicans wrote the rules, rules we have successfully followed on several occasions despite the very high bar, and now they are crying about losing. They even changed the rules at the last minute to help themselves. And they still lost. Spare us.
And we're not there yet!
Prop 4 *wasn't* about getting another Democrat in Congress.
It was about fair maps in BOTH congressional and state legislative races.
Now it's time for new Utah House and Senate maps. We voted for those, too. @BBforUT
BREAKING: Utah Prop 4 repeal will not make it on the 2026 ballot.
Signature removal requests processed on Wednesday brought SD15 nearly 260 names below the threshold.
The petition now has enough signatures in only 25 of 29 state Senate districts and no longer qualifies for the ballot. Signature removals will continue until April 23.
Utah GOP chair Rob Axson told me:
"We have significant concerns about the practices utilized by the opposition and continue to review the signature validation and removal process."
"Given today’s update, we want to thank the hundreds of thousands of Utahns who signed our initiative. Utahns spoke loudly in the face of an unprecedented onslaught of biased media coverage, outside influence, and judicial interference."
"Whether now or in the future, by litigation or initiative, we will Repeal Prop 4. This fight is not over but just beginning."
