@alexbrouhardEDU The history of the English language! Students are surprised that Elizabethan English is actually Early Modern English and they are very interested in reading samples of texts actually written in Old English and Middle English.
So apparently, thereβs a lot a person can accomplish once oneβs wedding has passed and the wedding planning stage is officially over, like knocking out two chapters of oneβs dissertation in four days.

When life happens, it happens all at once. After years of relative stagnancy, 2023 will consist of finishing my Ed.D. and getting married (a close race between these two regarding which will happen first), with a 50% possibility of moving out of state!
Educators, If you really want to impact your students this year and get the best out of them, just make them all feel valued and feel like they BELONG.
You are not always going to reach every student. Itβs ok! I think teachers are often perfectionists & not reaching a student weighs heavily on us. However, if you keep trying your best then you are doing enough. #edchat#thatonekid
Be respectful to kids even if they are disrespectful back. Be kind to kids even if they are unkind back. Smile at kids even if they donβt smile back. Say good morning to kids even if they donβt say it back. Add yours π.
