A leader in the Columbus philanthropy community, Lee currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff for External Affairs in the cabinet of Mayor Andrew Ginther and as the Interim Executive Director of CelebrateOne.

Using this online platform, we aim to utilize engaging games and activities to expand the scope and accessibility of infant care education.

SmileChild uses a module-based education model for our iOS app in which users learn about important infant care topics like smoking cessation and safe sleep. The curriculum is developed jointly by local nonprofit organizations and physicians at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

This process allows caregivers using the app to earn relevant resources for their infants while learning more about proper infant care.

Once completing the educational content, users can earn points. Points can be redeemed for varying rewards including grocery discounts, diapers, bibs and Pack-n-Plays.

Within the Smile tab, caregivers can track personal and communal growth as we move to improve the status of infant health in the city of Columbus. Through the empowerment of caregivers, SmileChild hopes to create a world where every child has the chance to smile.
