IISc researchers have engineered improved fluorescent molecular rotors as sensitive probes. A selenium-based variant showed the widest sensing range and strong detection of amyloid-β aggregates, opening new doors to study diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Mesmerising day it was. Never imagined that I would be awarded the cups for the entire technical session 21. I’m beyond grateful to Prof. @SudiptaMaiti13 sir and Prof. @arijitb4u sir for choosing my questions as one of the best ones.

The first edition of this conference in 2024 had opened my eyes and had helped me to search for my PhD project and this edition of NaMoSBio 2026 has widened up my knowledge and understanding on Spectroscopy a little better. Grateful for that!
