In remembrance @amazonMGMstudio
There are some people who leave us, but somehow never truly leave the worlds they helped create.
Today, we remember:
Don S. Davis (General George Hammond)
Cliff Simon (Ba’al)
Carmen Argenziano (Jacob Carter/Selmak)
Julian Sands (Mẽcen in SG-1)
Obi Ndefo (Rak’nor)
Willie Garson (Martin Lloyd)
Winston Rekert (Cordesh)
As Stargate fans, we welcomed these incredible actors into our homes and, without even realising it, into our hearts. They made us laugh, moved us, and gave life to characters who became part of something deeply special to so many of us.
It is heartbreaking to know they are no longer here. Yet every time we return to Stargate, there they are. Their voices. Their smiles. Their performances. Moments frozen in time, waiting for us on the other side of the gate.
Thank you for the memories you gave us. Thank you for the characters we grew to love. Thank you for being part of a universe that, for many of us, became so much more than just a television show.
You are missed. You are remembered. And your light will forever shine among the stars.
Gone from this world, but forever part of ours. ❤️

Star Trek actors and creatives:
- Lash out at fans constantly over politics
- Act very entitled
- Attack personally and nastily
Stargate actors and creatives:
- Respect and listen to fans and don't bother anyone with too much politics
- Are very grateful
- Always positive and encouraging personally
Why are these franchises so similar yet so different?
100,000.
Not viewers.
Not impressions.
Not clicks.
100,000 people who took the time to add their name and say:
“Stargate still matters.”
For a franchise whose last live-action series ended over a decade ago, that is remarkable.
This isn’t just nostalgia.
It’s a community that never stopped believing.
Fans from around the world have come together with one message: the audience is here, the passion is here, and the gate is still open.
If you haven’t signed yet, you can add your voice here:

100,000 signatures is an incredible milestone, but we’re not done yet.

I am not saying I speak for everyone , but…
@JeffBezos@AmazonMGMStudio
We, the Stargate community, alongside @BaronDestructo, @martingero, @MichaelShanks, @StargateYT, @dial_the_gate and @SGFansUnited, have a simple question:
What is the future of Stargate?
For years, fans have waited patiently. Yet the passion for this franchise has never faded. The support being shown today by fans, cast, crew, writers and creators demonstrates that Stargate remains one of the most loved science-fiction properties in the world.
We’re not asking for promises.
We’re not asking for dates.
We’re simply asking for an update. A word. A conversation. Something.
Does Stargate have a future at Amazon MGM Studios?
The audience is here.
The community is here.
The gate is still open.
We shall not go quietly into the night.

I don’t think this is a one day thing.
Seeing all of your photos, stories, memories and messages today has reminded me just how special this community is. Years later and the love for Stargate is still going strong.
Thank you for showing up and making your voices heard. It has been such a joy to celebrate with all of you and I have a feeling we’re just getting started. 💙

As a bit of a Google Trends nerd 😂 If Stargate were a dead franchise and aimed at a “small dedicated fanbase” you wouldn’t expect worldwide search spikes for “Stargate SG-1 Netflix” (+800%), “Stargate Netflix,” and “Stargate new series.”
The datas suggestion is there is still a strong meaningful audience demand whenever the franchise becomes visible on a major streaming platform for example. (There’s numerous examples of this kind’ve trend)
So if little old me with a PC and a pretty ok understanding of how social media ticks can see the missed goal here.
How is it the executive at Amazon MGM getting paid what I’m sure is top money get to the decision they did from a strategic standpoint?
I feel there’s a missing piece here because it makes no sense. lol.
