We're engaged! Colby Richard asked me to marry him and I said YES! I am so thankful to have a trusted partner in life who makes me feel special and beautiful. From a blind date to a ring, it's been an unexpected blessing.
Couldn't be prouder to be from Kansas.
We grow lots of wheat, but we also grow AMAZING, empowered, loving educators. #NTOY20#ProudKansasEducator@ksdehq
When @TrooperBenKHP gives you a "shout out" in your rear-view mirror on i70, that's generally not a good sign. But when Trooper Ben gives you a shout out on social media, you know you've arrived! Well done, @TabathaRosproy! #KansansCan#NTOY20
JUST ANNOUNCED: The 2020 National Teacher of the Year is... Kansas preschool teacher @TabathaRosproy! She runs a preschool program housed in a retirement village, connecting seniors and children together within a unique learning environment. #NTOY20
It's pretty amazing when the @KsCommissioner of Education joins in on the Kansas Educators Facebook Group to celebrate, share, ask questions, answer questions, seek guidance, offer opportunities to help, and the list goes on and on! So thankful I am a Kansas Educator!
Last night, my friend and educator extraordinaire @rbharder suggested I make an activity sheet prompting kids to design a medical mask for a healthcare worker. This morning, I made the sheet below.
You can download a free, printable version of it here: https://t.co/Rczp12ndjR
Teachers, administrators and community people came together in just a few days to produce the Continuous Learning Guidance document for all KS educators. Please take moment to thank this outstanding volunteers for caring deeply about Kansas students! https://t.co/1mWmvaNaxK
Wanting to attend @ESSDACK's Bridging to Resilience conference in April, but need help with funding? We got your back! Check out the video tutorial on how to write a @DonorsChoose professional learning project! #traumainformed
Date someone who says things like:
* please drive safe.
* Wear your seatbelt.
* I can't wait to see you.
* I'm proud of you.
* Want to go get some tacos?
This. This is one of the BIG reasons I appreciate working at @ESSDACK. Because I know folks doing the same work I do and they don’t get this.
And guess what?
They don’t stay at those jobs for long.
So knowing this, what does it mean for schools? And students?

I almost always know when @EricStonestreet is back in Kansas.
He likes to send me videos like THIS. 😆
Thanks to the @KansasTurnpike worker that knows my safety videos!
Thanks Eric for the seatbelt!
Its talked about often, as if it is easy! But it is HARD! Others behaviors impact us differently! It takes intention to have this skill. But, I PROMISE if you work it, you will have a better shot of being regulated therefore increasing the chance having a more positive exchange.
One of my favorite quotes from #Relentless is: “Student behavior is feedback on your relationships, preparation, effort, and instruction. As adults, we don’t always want to hear that feedback, but we must not ignore it.” @brewerhm your book is amazing!
