This scene in Chernobyl. I don't know about others but I surely feels this scene and particularly that 2nd shot are awesome. That shot depicts more than what meets the eye.@clmazin @johanrenck @iFilmProject

@parashah91 This happened yesterday too with Mohan Yadav where the left ecosystem started mocking him even though what he was saying made sense. Why? Only because they don't like the party that he represents. I think we have collectively lost the plot of political discourse as a nation.

[Smit Patel @Smit1729]

@parashah91 And why does it bother some people that he is asking not to label women? I get it that you think he is just doing politics and all. But still why have we become like this as a nation where we question people even when they are making sense, just because we dislike them?

[Smit Patel @Smit1729]

@loveofcinemasf8 Yup. The resemblance is uncanny.

Dear Abhijeet Dipke,

I write this not as a well-wisher but as someone who abhors your ideology and whose principles are at odds with yours on almost every count imaginable.

Come clean.

Not because answers are owed to anyone but because those questions are a pointless distraction from whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish.

I write this only as a fellow Indian who something good to come out of your shenanigans even if unintended.

Come clean.

Degrees don’t matter. One doesn’t need a university degree or even a school certificate to point out that a school toilet is unusable. So if you don’t have one, big deal! Just say so and move on. If you do, slap it on everyone’s face and move on. Again, not that you owe anyone a proof, but because it will help kill a pointless controversy.

Do you have political ambitions? Good for you, just say so. Nothing wrong in political aspirations. This country’s constitution gives every citizen that right. Why hide? Every political career is born as grassroot activism. If that’s your thing, nobody has the right to question why. Be bold.

Aligned with AAP? Again, why not? The constitution gives you the right to not only have political designs but also to form political affiliations of your choice. All newbies started off as juniors to a larger entity. TMC spawned from INC, BJP from JP, and so on. Nothing new or even unethical there.

Biased? Aren’t we all? You have every right to agitate only in some states and not in others, just as others have the right to agitate in the states you wouldn’t touch. Is it illegal? No. Is it immoral? Also no. As a private citizen you are not obligated to be impartial. Nobody is. So why even pretend. Just say to their face that you’re biased and by choice and move on. You’re not doing anything wrong. When the country protested for Nirbhaya, nobody was asked why only Nirbhaya out of hundreds others. Don’t pander to whataboutery. Embrace the bias!

Funded by vested interests? People have raised dollar multi-millions doing ₹10 RTIs and imaginary charity. So there’s no reason you couldn’t have raised big money for your cause. Again, nothing wrong in crowdfunding sociopolitical campaigns. So why give fodder to conspiracy nuts? Unless you’re in violation of established laws, what’s to hide?

None of what you’re doing (besides the violence at Jantar Mantar) is illegal or immoral. So no point of any secrecy here. If anything, such secrecy only hurts your cause.

I say thins because even if unintentionally, your cause overlaps with ours in parts.

I don’t share your ideology but I do want schools that don’t look worse than a pigsty. And that’s why this long rant.

Come clean. You have nothing that warrants hiding (including the funding, I hope).

[Smit Patel @Smit1729]

@parashah91 .

[Amit Schandillia @Schandillia]

When someone barges into a school and points out that the principal is drunk and the classroom is a musty dump, your question should be why the principal is drunk and the classroom a musty dump, not why he’s barging in without authority.

Unless you’re a political hack and concerned more about your party’s image than about the state of our schools.

[Smit Patel @Smit1729]

@rishilectual For that to happen they'll need support from some people inside the system, people they can guide them, people who can protect them when things get ugly. New gen bureaucrats can't change the system on their own. And I don't think they will find the support anytime soon.

[Amit Schandillia @Schandillia]

Some of you are cringing at @Tukaram_IndIAS getting standing ovation for merely doing his job. Understandable. But think of it this way, would you do what he’s doing if in his shoes?

Statistically, no.

Yes, he’s “just doing his job,” but he doesn’t have to. Being corrupt has zero cost and plenty incentive. And being upright?

27 transfers.

That’s the cost of being upright. In some cases, life too.

Corruption is the path of least resistance in this country. When given the choice between standing ovation and rooms full of cash, you’d pick the latter. He didn’t.

So spare us that sanctimony of “just doing his job.” The only incentive to “just doing his job” is this standing ovation. Let him have it. He’s earned it.
