Spoke @asugsvsummit about regulations to enable schools to innovate & improve outcomes. Key points from my side

1. Remove textbook regulation & give autonomy to schools to pick solutions they want to use. Regulator to hold all schools accountable for delivering outcomes.

2. Transform the BEd program and move it to big renowned universities to raise the bar of that program.

3. Provide teachers with technology tools and exemplar lessons to improve their teaching and build their skills.

86% can't read at Grade level. 75% can't subtract in Grade 3. 70% can't divide in Grade 5.
Urgent & Massive reform needed. School Integrated Systems with proven outcomes can help. Or we keep losing generations to inertia & apathy.

@sandeep_PT This is unacceptable behaviour from any school. However it is also not ok to generalise all pvt schools as fleecers. There are enough videos of govt schools mistreating students. Let’s be more thoughtful before doling out blanket blames & focus on improving govt & pvt schools.
