First, Anyone else catch the NIL for HIGH SCHOOL players in this letter? Are we out of our minds!
Secondly, an in season coach is not allowed to coach players off season that are on his in season team? Am I reading that correctly?
What insanity is that? I have been part of summer and winter ball teams where 50% and more players are on the same team in the spring and a coach or two of that off season team are part of the coaching staff of the in-season staff. Why on earth would that be any type of violation of anything? Now, stipulations that a player must play for the off season team in order to make the in season team is wrong and is a rule in nearly every state I know of (and know of a coach or 2 fired for that in Cali). But that is certainly different than 6 kids all from the same in season team playing together on an off season club team.
@NorCalU1 🤔
As the parent of an MUHS player, this has been a travesty for the kids and for Wisconsin high school baseball. Coach Bando is a mentor and a role model, not just a coach. Whatever “good” anyone thinks this achieved has been eviscerated by the harm it has caused. It’s a shame.
