This certainly rises to the level of criminal activity. SC utility’s directors got free power lines, landscaping work, employees say https://t.co/fHQXJxD7kn
For all my supporters, thank you. Thank you for being there alongside me during this journey. I hope you keep fighting for the changes you want to see in D20, and in SC. Don't let your voice fade, keep up a passionate fight. I'll be there right alongside of you.
This picture is a perfect summary of my campaign. I came in with less funding, less social capital, and an extremely small team. We may not have won the primary but we showed that people are tired of the old politics.
This will not be the end of my story, of the end of my activism. I will continue fighting for a new voice, I will continue fighting for a better community. I congratulate @DickHarpootlian on his win, and hope d20 will continue making known what we want for our district.
@MarieThearose @smith4scsenate I agree Marie! No one should use their personal political position to punish local businesses for what a few patrons may have done! This is not prohibition! Rational guidelines & safeguards need to be put in place, not vengeful attempts to ruin the livelihood of local businesses.
@smith4scsenate Dayna is your best choice today South Carolina for Senate Seat 20. She is ethical and not on a witch hunt to shut down establishments in Five Points, because of nearby realestate. Dayna is a calm, rational choice for progress!
Show up at your polls today, tell your friends and family to do the same. Show our current legislators that we DO want to keep 5Points thriving, we DO want SCE&G to be held accountable, we DO want better healthcare, we DO want our teachers and students supported.
Fantastic showing of people making their voices HEARD. The more we show up, the more we show out, the less we can be ignored. Write your lawmakers, vote new voices in, show them you can't be silenced.
We have to continue pushing, the primary is right around the corner. We have to show that district 20 is ready for a #newvoice in the Senate

I've heard both of my competitors rag on 5Points, but I see the local businesses that have been there for years. It's a thriving area of local businesses. 5Points local charm needs to preserved. We need to work WITH the local businesses to improve 5Points, not against them.
Columbia is 🔟th worst city in the nation in families going hungry. This is unacceptable in the land of the plenty. We must reassess where we spend our tax dollars.
I vow to fight for the social safety net and for food security for all of South Carolina.
