One day I stopped asking where we were headed and started asking myself why I was comfortable staying somewhere that required constant guessing. The answer wasn't love. It was hope. And hope can keep you in places long after the evidence tells you it's time to leave. Sometimes the healthiest closure is accepting that not every almost has to become forever.
Being in a situationship with an avoidant felt like borrowing happiness. When they were present, everything felt perfect. But deep down I always knew they'd disappear again, and I'd spend days wondering what had changed. Love shouldn't feel like waiting for someone's mood to decide whether you matter.
Topic of the night: Is it okay to be friends or invite a person you have had relations with to a special function? Or should you still be communicating with them?
i gave you everything I had left in me, and you still looked right through it like it was nothing. I broke myself open trying to be the person you needed I stayed up rewriting messages I was too scared to send, I cried in silence so you wouldn’t hear how much it was killing me
I smiled through conversations while my chest felt like it was caving in. I waited for your texts like they were the only thing keeping me breathing. I gave you space when all I wanted was to beg you to stay.
I let you reach for me only when you felt like it, and I made it easy for you every single time.
I put your peace above my own pain every single day. I handed you my trust even after it had already been shattered.
I stayed when every part of me was screaming to protect myself. I tore down every wall, every boundary, every rule I ever made for my own heart just so you could have all of me without resistance. I gave you love I’ve never given anyone else. And it still wasn’t enough.
If someone truly sees you as their forever person, their actions will move in that direction. While every relationship has its own timeline, years of excuses, uncertainty, or avoiding commitment are often signs that you're investing in potential instead of reality.
