We are not attempting to continue with curriculum. We have also not prepared packets or put together any mandatory assignments for students. We are instead offering a weekly plan with educational opportunities/activities related to each content area. #sunchat
@JeremyDBond@alextvalencic My role is continue to reach out to families and offer support for anything they need. Keep in touch with my students and offer resources to parents as requested. Maintain and deepen the relationships I have with students and make sure their essential needs are met. #sunchat
I'm doing okay for now. Balancing connecting with my colleagues and students from home, with my husband working from home and having our 1 year old at home, plus keeping up with a grad class has been a stressful transition but we will get there. I miss my kids! #sunchat
@alextvalencic@tiffanytruitt This is what I keep coming back to! What are we going to do next year? A small part of me feels robbed of a final trimester with my class and I want to just pick up where I left off with them and keep going. #sunchat
@TheKevinMCline Does your district use e-learning in place of snow days? I'm wondering if districts that already had e-learning in place are having an easier transition.
Good morning everyone! Abby, 5th grade teacher from ME here! We've been home for a week so far and just found out we won't be going back to school until at least April 27th. #sunchat
@tiffanytruitt This week we have been focusing on what our students and their families need, and having teachers reach out and connect with all their families. Optional learning opportunities are being sent out to families later today. #sunchat
@tiffanytruitt Trying to! This week has been primarily focused on planning with other district leaders and teachers how we are going to tackle any sense of learning from home. We were not prepared. The decision to not return was abrupt and we didn't get to say goodbye to our students. #sunchat
A6: Checking in frequently. Being available as much as possible while still giving myself time to disconnect & enjoy my family. Making videos from home to send to my students so they can see me in my element and get to know me and my world a little better. #AppleEDUchat
@lwetzel We have been told no new content for these reasons. This make sense, but it's so hard. So many questions. When will we teach it? We will get through curriculums? Will we even get to finish our year? #AppleEDUchat
