As Vedamūrti Devavrata performed the extremely tough and more importantly, rare recital of the Yajurveda as per krama-daṇḍa technique, many have asked about the subject.
A thread:
pārayana - pāra ayana (rāmāyana, rāma + ayana), to go forth n back, complete recital.
Hello again to all those glued to Amur Watch !
The Amur Falcons are rewriting the limits of endurance. From the forests of Manipur, three satellite-tagged travellers Apapang, Alang and Ahu have taken the world by storm. Here is the latest update from their epic journey. You will notice Apapang and Alang have crossed into Kenya... while Ahu continues to stay at the northern tip of Somalia. They are likely to stopover at Tsavo National Park in Kenya
Apapang (Orange tag)
The hero of the season.
6,100 km in 6 days 8 hours nonstop.
A single unbroken arc across continents.
Alang (Yellow tag)
The youngest with incredible grit.
5,600 km in 6 days 14 hours, including a night halt in Telangana and a 3-hour breather in Maharashtra before powering towards the Arabian Sea.
Ahu (Red tag)
steady and strong.
5,100 km in 5 days 14 hours, with a night pause in western Bangladesh before joining the great transoceanic push. (Her distance is lower because she took a more northerly and relatively shorter route to Somalia.)
Together, they embody the raw beauty of migration, precision, instinct, wind, stamina, and courage.
What a season ! What a journey ! As told by @SureshWII@wii_india to @supriyasahuias #AmurFalconMigration
Woohoo .. both Apapang and Alang have successfully crossed over, while Ahu is just about to reach...three Amurs, one breathtaking migration and a million people watching in awe ..@sureshwii#AmurFalconMigration
For those struk by the magic of Amurs ! Apapang makes it across the Arabian Sea with ease and enters the Horn of Africa, specifically Somalia. Apapang, being an adult male, has definitely done this oceanic crossing multiple times before. Apapang has now done nearly 5400 km, and it has taken him 5 days and 15 hours.
as told by @sureshwii
@Kotak_Life I have not shown any interest in your policy. Not sure who is responsible for this. But I am getting emails after emails on policy which I have not taken. @KotakCares
I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected.
Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice...they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger.
[Jerry's apartment. Kramer bursts in wearing a Kirkland brand shirt]
KRAMER: "Jerry! Jerry! You gotta get down to Costco! They just got a shipment of Pokemon cards in!"
JERRY: "Kramer, what are you doing at Costco? You don't even have a membership."
KRAMER: "Oh, I've got a system, Jerry. I've been using Newman's card. You see, I drew a little mustache on his photo—"
[Elaine enters]
ELAINE: "Ugh, you guys won't believe what just happened to me at Costco. This guy was hoarding all the Pokemon cards, and when they told him there was a limit, he started crying! Like full-on sobbing!"
KRAMER: "That was you?! YOU'RE the one who reported me?!"
JERRY: "I thought you said you were using Newman's card?"
KRAMER: "I got multiple systems, Jerry! Multiple systems!"
[George enters, wearing a Costco vest]
JERRY: "What are you wearing?"
GEORGE: "I got a job at Costco."
JERRY: "You got a job at Costco? What happened to your job at the Yankees?"
GEORGE: "This is better! Employee discount, Jerry! Plus, I get first dibs on the rotisserie chickens. Did you know they lose money on every chicken they sell? It's deliberate! They're taking a loss just to get people in the door!"
KRAMER: "Those chickens... they're lost leaders, baby!"
GEORGE: "Loss leaders."
KRAMER: "That's what I said!"
ELAINE: "So what do you actually do there?"
GEORGE: [pridefully] "I'm in samples."
JERRY: "You're the guy with the little cups?"
GEORGE: "I'm a Sample Distribution Coordinator! It's a very respected position!"
KRAMER: "Hey George, you think you could hook me up with some of those Pokemon cards? I've got this guy in Thailand who's willing to—"
GEORGE: "I got fired."
JERRY: "You just said you got the job!"
GEORGE: "I got fired during orientation. Apparently, you're not supposed to eat the samples while you're demonstrating them. How was I supposed to know that?! There was no training manual!"
[Newman enters, wearing sunglasses and a fake mustache]
NEWMAN: "Hello, Kra— [sees Jerry] Jerry."
JERRY: "Hello, Newman."
KRAMER: "Newman! You can't come in here looking like that! You'll blow our whole operation!"
NEWMAN: "The jig is up, Kramer! Costco's implementing biometric scanning! They're onto us!"
[Kramer runs out screaming]
GEORGE: "You know, I heard the Business Center doesn't use biometric scanning..."
JERRY: "The what?"
GEORGE: [eyes widening] "The Business Center... Jerry, have you ever seen a forty-pound block of cheese?"
A news that didn't catch our attention.
For the 2nd time since 2022, India has topped the International Junior Science Olympiad this year, securing six gold medals.

Saddened by the passing away of Shri MT Vasudevan Nair Ji, one of the most respected figures in Malayalam cinema and literature. His works, with their profound exploration of human emotions, have shaped generations and will continue to inspire many more. He also gave voice to the silent and marginalised. My thoughts are with his family and admirers. Om Shanti.
