I’m not angry with Spurs anymore. If anything I feel strangely detached from it all. Relegation, if it were to happen, would simply be the logical end of a decline that has been visible for years. The warning signs have been there in plain sight, long before this season, while the club continued to pursue the same failed strategies with a confidence that often felt more like arrogance than leadership.
Supporters could see the problems building season after season. Poor football decisions, short term fixes, and a lack of coherent direction gradually eroded what had once been a very strong side. Yet the people running the club seemed convinced that everything was under control.
In football it is always the fans who carry the cost when ownership gets things wrong. Whether it is slow decline like this, financial collapse and administration, or simply owners making poor decisions year after year.
The people who love the club are the ones who live with the consequences.
Kudus out through the break in March. Kulu still not on grass. Lolo injury a ‘bigger one’. Bergvall assessed later today. We are haggling over and 18 year old. What a fucking joke.
Sell the whole fucking team. No pride. No fight. Innumerable mental errors. My weekend is better without watching them. I won’t make the mistake again.
Not that I’m sure we deserve much based on this second half but Porro’s decision not to cross for a tap in to Gray may go down as one of the most selfish decisions I’ve seen in a long time
