@ScottAniol If by “created order” you mean what the serpent created with lies, then yes. If you really want an organization that boasts co-dependent women and power-drunk men, that’s up to you. But FYI, that was the “worldly” system that Jesus came to overthrow. He’s still at it too.
Writing into the void:
Jesus never humiliated a woman.
Being told your gender is inferior is humiliating. When a religion puts women in a lower place then men, it is systemic humiliation. It is a devilish power grab and not the way of The Son of God.
While the churches generally admit that "there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free," they still, in the bestowment of positions in the church, that there is "male and female."
It takes a long while for some who embrace the Gospel to understand the Gospel.
A problem with complementarianism is that it forms an artificial guilt & shame dynamic that narcissistic men use to control women. Lack of submission is bad, therefore submitting to a bad man is good.

@bethallisonbarr Council for Roman Manhood & Womanhood if they really want to know where their standards originated. But I’m just a woman. What do I know?
Today's the day--the documentary Postcards from Babylon is streaming on Amazon. It's a beautifully filmed hard look at American Christianity based on @BrianZahnd's book, including several other stories & voices. It's poignant and inspiring.

Pastors: please hear me. Do NOT recommend couples counseling to women who share with you they are experiencing any kind of abuse (physical, emotional, spiritual, etc.) This is not a marital issue, but an abuse issue. They both need individual therapy separately. #domesticviolence
@JoshuaAHouston You can’t understand Paul unless you first understand Rome.
And obeying his letters without that context creates the “good”Roman wives of evangelicalism and codifies misogyny.
