I’m not so sure being the reserve currency is even a good thing - we produce dollars - they produce goods - we buy foreign goods - they take the dollars and buy up our assets - we have nothing at the end except a giant pile of debt

This seemed to work better for the US when it was a gold standard and we were selling goods to the world and getting all the gold - not getting all the debt
