@BeautyHbcu @nakiyaaa__ @Fisk1866 @WeAreFisk24 @FiskUnited@FiskU_SGA@greekyard@thehbcupulse Beautiful indeed! I taught your parents when they were in high school. Best wishes for a great school year. I, too, am an HBCU grad. Hampton University '86
My one tip after many years of remote teaching: Greet every student by name as they enter, validate them. They want to be seen. If they are late (send them a quick DM to say "hi"). It is worth the time, children will remember you "seeing" them, more than a syllabus overview.
Check out Louisville’s own (and @atherton_high grad) @jackharlow surprising these two Georgia teachers on @GMA this morning. Great kid, great family. And a huge supporter of teachers and public education! #KyEd ❤️

Congrats to @UVASurgery PGY-2 Courtney Lattimore on her election as Co-President of the UVA Housestaff Council!! ⭐️ We know she will represent the interests of all UVA residents and fellows well! This continues an 8 year streak of UVA surgery residents leadership of HSC #proud
@dpvils you did an excellent job hosting the Virtual Leadership Summit 2020! I am so honored to work alongside such an amazing team! Thank you @dpvils and @LearningVerizon for all you do to support our students. #OneTeamOneDream#GESD40
DuBois Academy was featured on the local news yesterday. The story is about the students staying connected during remote learning, but it includes mention of their VILS iPads: https://t.co/zWuDoVgmg1
Folks, don't get things twisted. We are doing "EMERGENCY online learning" vs. true online, distance, or virtual learning which is planned and designed for such. Read the article, by AJJuliani, to gain insight. https://t.co/NgfDx2z7K8 . Keep pushing forward and doing your best.
Rebecca Reynolds, Louisville, KY. @dpvils enthusiast here. Remote learning is still optional at this time in our district, but some of our students are tweeting and working hard on virtual materials! #WeAreJCPS#dpvilschat
