I had a productive call yesterday with General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander of the Libyan National Army. We discussed Libya’s continued progress toward a unified national budget and its important role as host of a spoke of AFRICOM's upcoming Flintlock 26 exercise. These are meaningful steps that can help strengthen economic and military integration, national unity, and institutional cooperation. We also exchanged views on opportunities to advance regional stability, enhance security coordination, and support long-term peace and prosperity across Libya and the broader region.
#Libya's parliament-appointed government led by Osama Hammad called on the international community to stand against attempts to displace Palestinians from #Gaza, emphasizing “the need to sustain the ceasefire and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.”
