@CENTCOM I believe that this shit will be eternal unless we put boots on the ground. I know that we have the assets in theater to capture kharg island, severing Iran's economic lifeline. These recent strikes look a lot like an attempt to soften up the enemy before a landing attempt...
@XoXo40738138@CENTCOM Maybe you should learn basic grammar and how to type in some way that isn't going to be perceived as an alcoholic undergoing active dt's with dyslexia before you start trying to comment on grand strategy or compare 2 country's power projection capabilities... You are a joke.
@unseen1_unseen Yeah, and no one talks about the Chinese literally trying to end any non-han ethnic civilization or culture in the 9% of their population's ethnic minorities. They are in the process of trying to literally erase the uyhgur and Mongolian civilizations from existence as we speak.
@CanadianZoro@chowenmarie@TKratman Well for one, all of the software that is used by EUV lithography machines that make the chips in whatever you used to type this response.
@EricSpracklen What? Seriously? You're talking about a problem that is a municipal issue handled by the elected official of the city, and trying to bring the war in Iran into play and somehow? Like the war in Iran is the reason why infrastructure in the Bronx is crumbling? *Facepalm*
@themarketswork@RapidResponse47 Your fault if you lost money. Deal with it. The president has more important things in his strategic calculations than your stock portfolio jackass.
Really? I don't particularly like it but I believe there is a grand strategy here. I don't like a war over Taiwan more. Mainly bc of the tens or hundreds of thousands of US soldiers that would die. Also bc TSMC chips are in phones, cars, pretty much any advanced electronics. I like not having 10 to 25 percent inflation in a year. I like not having to worry about a peer nuclear scenario where I get vaporized bc the CCP decides they are losing a war they started and nuke our carrier so we hit back and the world ends. I feel like this helps avoid that scenario.
@Pro__Trading NATO is a North Atlantic treaty and defensive organization. To trigger art 5 they'd have to hit an ally, on their home territory. C'mon man. Now treaty allies like the UK disappointed me, but I get it. Oil and LNG going up squeezes Europe more than us.
@___Devletci___ Well, wanna find out? The US is withholding major capabilities just in reserve for a Pacific contingency. We are using approximately 50 percent of our EW suite in particular, bc of assets like that ship. Now look what we did in 8 days. Wanna find out what 100% looks like? FAFO.
@aj_inapi Good analysis, and a step further. China is THE peer threat. Chinas financial system is extremely brittle, with the right spark it will seize like an unoiled engine. Crude at 120 a barrel for 90 to 180 days, and certain gears will turn that might just be that spark. Stay tuned.
@BernieSanders Seriously bernie... Stop, just stop. Iran has propagated more death and misery in the region since 1979. Irans leadership is publicly and enemy of America. Actively pursuing nuclear weapons. An ally of China, close to having a modern A2/AD system. We stopped that.
@mhdksafa I'd say the Ayatollah was sick to propagate non state actor groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. I would say I also feel bad for the Iranian people who have to go through this. I'm also selfish and would rather have that than that scene outside of Dallas or Atlanta. I'm human.
@RepAuchincloss Hey guy, it's been 8 days. Sorry can we just wait until it's over. Also I can't believe that Iran is the only goal here. I'd say China, pushing through stuff that fixes the mag depth problem, gathering data on CJADC2 and starshield in high intensity conflict, etc. big pic stuff.
@Evilhomer94@LisaS4680@CENTCOM I understand, I did too. With as entangled as the world is now, connected through trade, countries like China if allowed to do as they want, can effect us in drastic ways. And make no mistake, China is very much a part of the strategy. 90 days of oil at 120 a barrel will end them
@LisaS4680@CENTCOM Triage on the battlefield. Look it up, it's an actual thing. Strategic decisions require triage as well. Leaders like an American president have to make the choice that kills less US soldiers. This war, fought like this, at this time, to prevent thousands of US soldiers perished.
