Krafton has reorganized their @PUBGEsports department earlier this year, as reported by @kenzi131 of Daily Esports and what I can backup with additional details.
According to today's Kenzi report, Krafton has terminated their contract with Minho Yi, VP and head of PUBG Esports at Krafton, last month (January 2026).
Yi, who was previously a PD for MBC Sports and MBC Drama and a head of Esports broadcast division at Riot Games Korea, has joined Krafton at the end of 2020.
In addition, Kenzi has reported that a team leader-level employee and two other employees of PUBG Esports division has left the company, with additional staff being moved to other departments within Krafton.
I can report that the "team leader-level employee" is most likely Jay Shin, who was the lead of PUBG's Global Esports Management team and has announced his Krafton exit last week.
Additionally, I can confirm that Choi Youngjoo, who was the lead Social Media Manager of PUBG Esports, has also left the company earlier this year.
According to Kenzi, Krafton has reportedly appointed Park Soo-Yong, an esports manager at PUBG, as new acting head of PUBG Esports.
-----------------------------------------------------
When asked for a comment by Kenzi, Krafton official said "2026 is an important time for the expansion of PUBG Esports, and we will release a roadmap on February 9th after internal and external changes."
Kenzi's report also reports that PUBG Esports players and team staff are very concerned about Krafton's decision to move to TPP starting this year, arguing that FPP and TPP modes are completely different and that changing perspective like switching to a whole new game.
An anonymous staff from one of KR teams stated to Kenzi "In the case of FPP, there is a tension because the information we have is limited. It adds fun to the games. In the case of TPP, you can easily win in an anomaly, not when you have good skills. It is true that it does not fit with professional games."
