@Sflecce If only you would put the money into hiring qualified educators and putting resources into the classrooms. Yes, you love changing the curriculum, but have yet to provide any resources.
@Sflecce day 3 of missed planning time, unfilled DECE and OCT jobs… we have to wonder where exactly you claim to have hired educators? Certainly not in my board.
@Sflecce@fordnation Is that why every day we have unfilled teacher, DECE, and EA jobs? Is that why our EAs are doing double duties and often missing their lunch breaks?
When James Dunn was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at 11 years old, his first question was when could he play hockey again.
Through para hockey, he fell in love with the game all over again.

Calling it now - @Sflecce will force a strike, schools will close, transmission of #Covid the flu, noro, will decline, @CHEO et al will get a small reprieve. @fordnation will use that to brag about their handling of healthcare and blame the union for the strike. #onpoli#onted
@ValeDoreen@ThomasWatsonCD But nonCUPE staff are expected 2 be @ school. The board emailed 2 say the water may not be safe 2 drink, so bring your own. Who will shovel and salt walk ways? Flush the water? Clean washrooms, keep the floors dry? Admin can’t do it all. @Sflecce needs 2 start negotiating.
Ontario teachers- how is your school board handling CUPE job action? We were told to report to work, & be aware that water will not be safe to drink… Boards where DECEs are CUPE, how are teachers expected to run a class (virtually or in person)? #onted#CUPESolidarity#ETFO
@jennyleeshee @fordnation@Sflecce Exactly! We have families with no internet connection and no hubs available to loan out. What good is an iPad or Chromebook with no internet? Not to mention scrambling for childcare. A pandemic and a strike because of poor negotiating on the govs part are not the same.
@OttawaDaddy@Sflecce Or fairly & reasonably negotiate? Online learning was a pandemic solution. We had time 2 hand out devices & mobile hubs. Our children had their DECEs, EAs & support staff working with them. This is a STRIKE, not a pandemic. It is not the same thing.
@Sflecce Where on earth did you get that number? Are you including and somehow multiplying the school closures due to the pandemic? School holidays? As a student and educator in Ontario who attended school pre 1989,l I can confidently say that you, sir, are mistaken.
