@LakotaMan1 That's the narrative. I think I'd like to see just a little more evidence and dot-connecting before I start measuring orange jumpsuits.
That's not to say TOM is in the right, just let's not assume guilt from the get go.
@mungowitz Truth be told, that's how all major policies seem to have been decided in the last ten years. The closest thing we had to an open debate about a big proposal was ACA. I think both parties decided public debate was a disaster and they never want to go through that again.
@mungowitz This is one of the things bugs me about Biden's proposal. We had no public discussion and debate about the nature of the problem and possible solutions.
Instead lobbyists proposed their favorite solution, candidate Biden promised it, and now we're committed.
@RBReich Ok, you're a radical lefty.
Do you think there's a limit? Or taxpayer funded PhDs for everyone? How do you decide where that limit ought to be?
@mikeduncan@craigcalcaterra TBH, one of my fears was having a boy and, since I'm a pretty bad athlete, not being able to teach him to throw a baseball.
@joncoopertweets Sure. Collect some evidence, make a case for probable cause to a judge, get a warrant, and go to town.
Just like every other case and every other home, hovel or ex-president's mansion.
@RayWetmore1 @RBReich Cash isn't the only reward for working a job. But for most people, it sure is a big factor. If they didn't pay me, I wouldn't come in.
Doesn't affect my point though. If cash plus satisfaction of a job well done is worth less to you than your next best option, you'll quit.
@beinlibertarian I wonder about this. As an election strategy, is it better to accomplish things or leave them pending so you can campaign on "elect me and for sure we'll get that done next term"?
@impofthediverse Let me clarify.
Dobbs energized both teams Red and Blue. I suspect Blue gets more of a boost from it so it may be a pyrrhic victory for Red.
Conversely, loan transfers may energize Red opponents more than Blue supporters.
I'm dying to see how this nets out in November.
The '22 midterms are fascinating. I don't think I've seen an election where each party is _giving_ the other so many hot button issues to run on. It's like each one wants to lose.
