๐จ URGENT: Choodasandra Circle (Nandhini Junction) needs immediate attention!
Dear @BDAOfficialGok@Captain_Mani72 sir,
Choodasandra Circle on Jail Road, connecting Electronic City with the Bellandur IT corridor, is already one of the regionโs major traffic choke points. Congestion here routinely spills over towards Kudlu/Hosur Road, Harlur and SarjapurโBellandur, creating severe gridlocks.
Amid this existing traffic chaos, how was approval given for Lodha Haven here, and it's exit gate to directly join the signal at #Choodasandra Circle?
This is a serious traffic-planning concern. Adding a major residential exit directly at the signal could further disrupt traffic flow and create additional conflict points at an already overloaded junction.
More importantly, emergency vehicles such as ambulances are already struggling to pass through this choke point. Any further obstruction could have serious consequences.
๐ We urge the concerned authorities to immediately review the access plan and instruct Lodha Haven not to connect its layout road directly to the Choodasandra signal.
Please act before the problem becomes irreversible.

SHREE REFRIGERATIONS - BHARAT CONNECT CONFERENCE 2026 - POST-CONFERENCE NOTE โ๏ธ๐ณ๏ธ๐ฎ๐ณ
Shree Refrigerations is a 35+ year old company focused on high-performance HVAC, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions for mission-critical applications, with a strong presence in defence and marine HVAC.
The company has been serving the Indian Navy for more than 10 years and currently has around 400 employees across 8 locations, including 2 manufacturing plants and 6 branch offices.
DEFENCE & NAVAL POSITIONING ๐ฎ๐ณ
The company entered the Marine HVAC & AC&R business in 2012 and developed an indigenous air-conditioning system for the Scorpene submarine in 2017.
In 2018, it received its first magnetic-bearing chiller order for the P-17A warship programme. Management stated that the company currently holds around 60% market share in this particular air-conditioning segment.
One important competitive point highlighted by management is that Shree Refrigerations is registered across all three critical Navy cooling segments:
โช๏ธ Turnkey HVAC&R solutions
โช๏ธ AC plants and refrigeration plants
โช๏ธ Electrical control panels
Management considers this registration coverage an important entry barrier because competitors may not have the same combination of approvals and capabilities. ๐
PRODUCT & TECHNOLOGY CAPABILITIES ๐ ๏ธ
The company manufactures:
โช๏ธ Marine HVAC systems
โช๏ธ AC plants
โช๏ธ Refrigeration plants
โช๏ธ Magnetic-bearing chillers
โช๏ธ Electrical control panels
โช๏ธ Turnkey HVAC solutions
โช๏ธ Spares and after-sales services
The AC plant range covers approximately 5 TR to 300 TR, while refrigeration plants cover approximately 1 TR to 35 TR.
Management stated that 5 out of 6 standard Navy capacities for relevant products have been type-tested, while around 70% of products are type-tested. The company also highlighted its ability to manufacture heat exchangers, electrical panels and plant assemblies, along with conducting testing internally. ๐ง
FLEET SUPPORT SHIP OPPORTUNITY โ
A major opportunity discussed was the Fleet Support Ships programme.
Management stated that Shree Refrigerations emerged as L1 in all three relevant tenders covering:
โช๏ธ Refrigeration plants
โช๏ธ Chillers
โช๏ธ Turnkey HVAC
The existing manufacturing setup is around 70,000 sq. ft., while the new facility involves approximately 6 acres of land with around 50,000 sq. ft. of built-up shop-floor space.
The new facility can potentially be expanded to approximately 1 lakh sq. ft.
Management also discussed a 40โ50% subsidy associated with the new facility. ๐ญ
ORDER BOOK ๐ฆ
The conference discussion put the current order book at around โน270 crore.
Management wants to maintain an order-book-to-projected-invoicing ratio of approximately 1.5xโ2x, which it considers a healthy level for the business.
โช๏ธ Opening order book โ โน215.41 Cr
โช๏ธ Orders received โ โน208.91 Cr
โช๏ธ Orders executed โ โน153.55 Cr
โช๏ธ Closing unexecuted order book โ โน270.77 Cr
The closing order book was approximately 1.8x FY26 revenue.
MANUFACTURING CAPACITY ๐ญ
One of the most important points from the conference was the capacity available after the new plant expansion.
Management indicated that Plant 1 + Plant 2 together can generate approximately โน400 crore+ of top line at suitable utilisation levels.
Management is targeting approximately 40% CAGR and said that, at that growth rate, the company could potentially outgrow the current combined plant capacity in around 1.5 years.
If that happens, another manufacturing facility may be required.
Management also said that a new plant could potentially be considered earlier if an attractive new product basket or market opportunity emerges.
BACKWARD INTEGRATION โ๏ธ
The new manufacturing facility is also aimed at increasing vertical integration.
The company has brought several activities in-house, including:
โช๏ธ CNC laser cutting
โช๏ธ Bending
โช๏ธ Painting
โช๏ธ Heat-exchanger manufacturing
โช๏ธ Electrical-panel manufacturing
โช๏ธ Plant assembly
โช๏ธ Testing
Management said this reduces dependence on external supply chains and gives the company greater control over production planning, inspection and execution.
The objective is to capture more of the manufacturing process and associated economics internally.
WORKING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ๐
Working capital has historically been an important area for the company.
Management highlighted the following progression:
FY25: 570 days
FY26: 370 days
Current-year target: 325โ330 days
3โ5 year aspiration: around 250 days
Receivable days were also discussed as having improved from approximately 350 days to 250 days.
Expects further improvement as manufacturing becomes more integrated and supply-chain dependencies reduce.
DEFENCE MARINE OPPORTUNITY โ
They discussed a very large opportunity pipeline in Indian naval and marine defence.
The conference discussion referenced approximately โน1.5โ1.6 lakh crore of government-approved marine defence orders, with management expecting these to gradually translate into vendor opportunities by the end of the next financial year.
Management used approximately 1% of the overall project value as a broad indication of the portion relevant to the company's products.
It also mentioned an additional pool of orders awaiting government approval, with potential vendor-level opportunities expected to emerge around FY28โFY29.
NON-DEFENCE MARINE OPPORTUNITY ๐
The opportunity is not restricted to the Indian Navy.
Approximately 437 merchant/non-defence marine vessels and projects worth around โน1.9 lakh crore being tendered.
AC/HVAC could represent approximately 0.5% of project value in the non-defence marine opportunity.
This creates another potential avenue for the company's marine HVAC capabilities.
DATA CENTRE COOLING - NEW GROWTH AREA ๐ข
Data-centre cooling is one of the newer opportunities being explored.
The company currently does not have a data-centre order in hand, but management said it is in advanced discussions with certain data-centre customers.
The proposed opportunity is focused on chip-cooling systems, in collaboration with a Canadian technology partner.
Management expects potential billing from this opportunity in FY28.
Importantly, specifically clarified that its current growth projections do not include any revenue contribution from the data-centre opportunity.
Therefore, any eventual contribution would be incremental to those projections.
40% CAGR GUIDANCE ๐
Management reiterated its expectation of approximately 40% CAGR.
This has been a stated growth objective over the past few years, and management said the company intends to continue targeting this growth trajectory.
๐ The current projections are based on the existing business and do not factor in potential data-centre revenue, according to management.
POTENTIAL FOR ANOTHER PLANT ๐๏ธ
At approximately โน400 crore+ potential capacity from the current two plants, management believes the company could eventually outgrow its existing manufacturing infrastructure.
At a 40% CAGR trajectory, management indicated that existing capacity could potentially be exceeded in around 1.5 years.
However, any additional plant would depend on actual demand, order visibility and potentially new product opportunities.
EXPORT OPPORTUNITY ๐
Direct defence exports remain relatively limited because different countries have their own local-content and domestic manufacturing requirements.
However, management highlighted another route for international revenue.
Indian-built ships supplied to foreign owners can create future opportunities for:
โช๏ธ Spares
โช๏ธ Maintenance
โช๏ธ Service
These can potentially become direct export revenue for Shree Refrigerations.
Also, they see opportunities where Indian shipyards build vessels for foreign owners, creating an indirect international opportunity for the company's equipment and a potential export opportunity through servicing and spares.
GLOBAL SHIPBUILDING TAILWIND ๐ข
Management discussed the broader global shipbuilding environment, including capacity constraints at major shipbuilding centres and increasing attention toward India as an alternative shipbuilding destination.
The company believes India's indigenous shipbuilding push could create a long-duration opportunity for specialised marine equipment suppliers.
The possibility of India building a very large number of ships over the coming decade, though this should be treated as management's industry outlook rather than a guaranteed outcome.
AQUILON DEEP CHILL ๐ง
The company has incorporated a new subsidiary, Aquilon Deep Chill, to target applications requiring sub-zero cooling.
The focus areas include:
โช๏ธ Food & beverage
โช๏ธ Pharmaceuticals
โช๏ธ Chemicals
โช๏ธ Reactor cooling
โช๏ธ Sub-zero temperature applications
They described this as a new product line/segment that can expand the company's addressable market beyond its existing defence-focused business.
R&D & TECHNICAL CAPABILITY ๐ฌ
Management repeatedly emphasised that the company's roots are in technically complex refrigeration and testing equipment.
The experience gained from complex refrigeration applications eventually helped the company enter marine HVAC and defence.
The Scorpene submarine project in 2017 was highlighted as an important milestone in developing indigenous capability.
The company also has a focus on R&D, testing, installation, commissioning and after-sales service, which management considers important in defence applications.
ENTRY BARRIERS ๐
The defence HVAC business has long qualification and approval cycles.
Products need to satisfy technical requirements, testing standards and Navy-specific registrations.
Management highlighted these qualification requirements as an important barrier to entry and said that its established registrations, testing experience and installed base provide an advantage in competing for future opportunities.
OPERATING LEVERAGE โ๏ธ
Management expects operating leverage as revenue scales because the company has already invested in manufacturing infrastructure, engineering capabilities and manpower.
As order execution increases, the existing infrastructure can support higher revenue before a major capacity expansion becomes necessary.
However, the exact pace of operating leverage will depend on product mix, execution and working-capital requirements.
BALANCE SHEET & FUNDING ๐ฐ
Management discussed a loan level of around โน33 crore and long-term debt of approximately โน5 crore during the conference.
The company indicated that the balance sheet is not highly leveraged and that it has the ability to use working-capital financing if required to support growth.
The key area to track remains the relationship between rapid growth, receivables and working-capital requirements.
MANAGEMENT'S BIG PICTURE ๐ฏ
The broad strategy discussed during the conference can be summarised as:
Defence Marine โ HVAC โ Refrigeration โ Data Centres โ Non-Defence Marine โ New Cooling Applications
The company wants to continue building its defence HVAC position while simultaneously expanding into data-centre cooling, non-defence marine applications and specialised industrial cooling.
Management's stated objective remains around 40% CAGR, while the existing two-plant setup is estimated to support around โน400 crore+ of revenue capacity.
KEY THINGS TO TRACK ๐
For investors studying the company, these are some of the important variables to monitor:
โช๏ธ Order-book conversion and execution
โช๏ธ Movement from โน270 Cr+ order book into revenue
โช๏ธ Capacity utilisation of the new plant
โช๏ธ Whether โน400 Cr+ capacity gets utilised as expected
โช๏ธ Working capital moving from 370 days toward 325โ330 days
โช๏ธ Longer-term progress toward 250 days
โช๏ธ Data-centre order wins and FY28 contribution
โช๏ธ Growth of spares and service revenue
โช๏ธ Defence order inflows
โช๏ธ Non-defence marine opportunities
โช๏ธ Aquilon Deep Chill progress
โช๏ธ Requirement and timing of another manufacturing plant
โช๏ธ Debt and working-capital funding requirements
โช๏ธ Product mix and margin trajectory
