@reachjulieroys@ecfa The language of this new standard is extremely weak and will not prevent moral failure. The church/ministry leaders who’ve made headlines for their downfall were master manipulators who assembled weak “yes men” boards. This new standard is an insult to intelligent donors.
This me after totality. In 2017 I was dumb and stayed in Portland with 90% coverage. It was cool, but not mind blowing like totality. This time I flew to Texas and stood in a field of wildflowers with my co-workers. Pure joy.

NCAA is currently fighting at least a half-dozen legal challenges.
They would:
- cost $3B+ in retroactive NIL/Alston/TV revenue
- make athletes employees
- permit athletes to unionize
- permit athletes to transfer unlimited times
- permit athletes to sign NIL deals as recruits

@RossDellenger College sports needs a leader. It needs a well positioned, charismatic influencer who can inspire a following, pull together the power brokers. Not sure that person comes from NCAA. Ross, you’ve covered college sports as deeply as anyone. Who is that leader?
@ChrisPietsch@registerguard@eugeneweekly They say that ran an organization based on trust but there’s no such thing as trust for accounting/finance employees. Internal controls must be established, no matter how wonderful people appear.
WA Supreme Court will determine today whether it will review the Pac-2/Pac-12 case… agree w those who think it’s more likely than not the Supreme Court takes the case. It’s a high profile case involving two state universities. I wouldn’t be shocked if they want to review it.
