The Helldivers 2 community was tricked by Sony.
Sony declared having a PSN account would be mandatory to play Helldivers 2. The community revolted and trashed the games review score to 13% positive. Sony walked it back and stated they wouldn't be making PSN mandatory.
Declaring victory the community undid the massive wave of negative reviews. Yet Sony did something sinister in the background. They restricted Helldivers 2 from being purchased in all 177 countries where PSN isn't available.
They fooled you and the devs are still fighting to fix it.

Wondering if I should attend TwitchCon in Rotterdam this year... 🤔
If you're planning to be there, feel free to give me a poke so I know I won't be bumbling about among total strangers?
Apparently the company I've worked at for the last 5 years decided to downsize and told me my position was closed with only 2 days notice. It came so suddenly that I've had no time to prepare for a new job or do much of anything. I don't have much more than a month or maybe two of savings and this feels like the closest I've been to losing everything.
I'm trying to take this in stride and transition into the career path I've been focused on in the VR industry this last few years. To that end I am immediately opening commissions and/or looking for work at VR focused companies. If anyone is looking for commissions or knows of a team hiring please reach out.
For those unfamiliar with my work I solo dev every stage of VR game development in the Unity game engine. My strongest skills are in C# programming, networking and optimization, but I have also learned how to write shaders in HLSL, model 3D assets (environment, hard surface, characters), texture in substance + photoshop, design UI from scratch, rig, animate, host AWS databases and interact with them with things like Lambda, program in Python and various team based skills from working as part of a remote team for Google and separately as part of a team shipping a VR game.
If you would like a VRC world commission I have the skills to make small code prefabs all the way to every possible asset/logic the SDK allows us to upload. If you have disposable income and an idea I would love to work with you to use my skillset to make your idea a reality. Don't hesitate to reach out or tell a friend.
Even if you have no interest in hiring me for a commission if you can help signal boost this with any interactions or leave a comment about working with me in the past or playing my games I would greatly appreciate it.
who would've thought that nude-streaming would stir up so much drama... I am once again reminded that streamers are better off doing their own thing instead of trying to follow whatever might be the "meta of the month"
@DandyflossVT Thank you for your sacrifice. I hope Twitch sees this and decides to adjust their ToS instead of banning you and trying to sweep this under the rug or just turning a blind eye to it.
@cloudia_arts_ hey @tikitorchies, looks like your artwork is being abused as promotional material by a spambot / "art"-sweatshop. Hope this is an okay way of informing you, since I can't DM you in private without being mutuals.
Keep up the honest and impressive work :)
VTubers - how do YOU record your model for stream? It's come to my attention that a lot of people might not know about "Spout2 plugin" for OBS!
What is Spout2? It's a plugin that allows you to send high resolution files between compatible programs! THAT MEANS you can natively use it after installing between.. say, OBS Studio and VTube Studio! It allows you to choose the Spout2 plugin as a source directly - rather than having to game capture or window capture your VTube Studio! Not ONLY is this way less resource intensive - it also means that you can mess around with model parameters, activating props and anything you want within the VTube Studio window WITHOUT it showing up on stream! It will ONLY record your model, regardless of the background/color you have selected! This also means no need for a chroma key!
How to set it up?
First - download the link for Spout2 plugin below!
Second - Under the second tab in VTube Studio, after the plugin is done installing, go to the "camera" icon in the top left. Scroll down almost to the bottom and enable "Activate Spout2" as shown in picture (1)
Second - Open up OBS - hit that little plus button underneath your sources, and you should see "Spout2 Capture" (2) as an option! Hit that bad boy up!
Third - The last (3) picture is what the window will look like! You can, for the most part, just leave everything default. If you WANT your background in VTube Studio to show up - just hit the "opaque" option underneath Spout Senders!
Sincerely hope this helps some of you out there. VTube Studio can take up a lot of resources depending on how strong your setup is! Not only will this reduce the load.. in my own experience, this is the highest quality method to actually capture your model on to a livestream of your own!
If you found this helpful, please link and share so that it can reach more people! 🖤🙇

Twitch hasn't walked back forced platform exclusivity for all creators *and* their terms of service still stipulate that they are EXCLUSIVELY able to control all advertising on your live stream. This apology is smooth words hiding sharp intentions.
@b0ngog4m1ng Ignore the noise and do your thing. If people want to make a big deal out of it, explain your stance on the controversy once and then go back to enjoying the game for what it is: a video game set in a made up universe that holds nostalgia for a lot of people.
@Thrilluwu Here's an important question though:
Is the software open source or proprietary?
Because that can mean a lot regarding the actual lifetime of the hardware & supported games through potential community contributions. Especially when it's a small company with no prior history.
Before/after of Corridor's latest AI video is wild. They shot video on greenscreen, made virtual sets in Unreal, then reskinned it to anime by finetuning Stable Diffusion. Net result? 120 VFX shots done by a team of 3 on a dime. Bravo! This is a milestone in creative technology🧵
