@JodieNeville@PhDVoice I've had this problem as well, when I write a sentence I then answer the question "and this matters because" at least five times to move the concise nature I'm used to, to the academic expectation.

Yesterday, I received a special ask. That was from a Ukrainian for their country. I believe joy & hope have healing power. They keep you stay grounded in the toughest moments. With the traditional folk music of Punjab, today’s joy and hope dedication is for the people of Ukraine.
I am concerned about the perversion of the concept of peacekeeping.
When troops of one country enter the territory of another country without its consent, they are not impartial peacekeepers.
They are not peacekeepers at all.

I haven't finished my PhD yet, if I'd already finished I might not have done the same. There is no right or wrong (though everyone has an opinion!), Do what feels most right to you.
@Yycdragonlady Feels like it right? Now I'm doing the: do I send my kids to school / dayhome and accept they will get sick and hope it is in fact mild, or do we do an unsupported family lockdown...
