Broward elementary student parents: I'm writing about how many schools don't offer music or art or both. If your school doesn't offer 1 or both, is that a concern? 561-243-6637 or [email protected] or DM. Here's list of schools:

I guess I will not be getting immediate help. The head of public records for @browardschools is out and referred me for immediate assistance to a phone number with a 751 area code, which is in Southwest Michigan. I tried to call but was told the number is not in service.
.@browardschools Board passes proclamations honoring the lives and legacies of two leaders who died recently: Levi Henry, founder of the Westside Gazette newspaper, and Nancy Metayer, who was vice mayor of Coral Springs and a rising political star when she was killed tragically.
I am thankful to the search committee for naming me the sole finalist to become Polk State College’s next president.
Florida College System institutions play a critical role in preparing students for in-demand, high-wage positions. During my time as Commissioner, I have proudly touted their incredible outcomes as they serve more than 680,000 students across the state and provide more than 130,000 degrees and certifications each year. It is an honor to be blessed with this opportunity, and I am excited to contribute to that work in a new capacity while continuing to support strong partnerships between K-12 schools, colleges, and universities.
I also look forward to working with the Board of Trustees, cabinet members, and the faculty whose dedication is transforming students’ lives and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their careers.
No matter the position I serve in, I remain committed to the belief that education is the foundation of opportunity and the key to a stronger future.
.@BrowardTeachers will not have to go to an impasse hearing with @browardschools. Teachers narrowly approved, by 57%, a new contract, according to a letter from @afusco_BTU. There’s no raise in this contract other than the 0.55% state funded increase already approved.
.@Browardschools Board members were accused of disrespecting committee chairs today. Few board members were there when a meeting started, prompting DAC Chair Cynthia Dominique to ask meeting to be paused. Later, ESE advisory chair Jacqui Luscombe said board was distracted.
.@BrowardSchools Board members on Monday inched toward approving a plan that would cut hundreds jobs, following more than seven hours of debate.

I’ve heard many folks ask how @SuptlicataP could leave @browardschools abruptly due to a health issue and then reappear as the superintendent of @FortWorthISD. He addresses this, though not in any detail, in this March news conference. He also said he won’t address it again.
