It's been so jarring seeing people argue for the right of yt people to use atrocities that affected primarily poc's as some form of "artistic expression". It isn't theirs to "reclaim" or utilise, and it is ridiculous that this "artform" not only exists but is being defended.
black/bipoc fans can never be angry or upset. we must see the nuance, we must give the benefit of the doubt. if a half-ass apology is given we have to forgive it. if we are allowed to be angry, we got five minutes or else we're doing too much and we need to move on in two days...
kpop is such an unserious industry. how do you get trained and coached on how to not accidentally reveal youโre in a relationship and how to do aegyo even at 30 years old but not educated on actual worldwide topics
he didn't say anything though. this is something you look your fans in the eyes for, something you directly say it was a confederate flag, that you apologize to black people and say the words "black people" in your apology.
what else yall want him to do tho? take up a 6 month intern at a world history museum or something? genuinely. fact of the matter is that he didnt sweep it under the rug and already stated that it doesn't align wit his personal views or the company's...unequivocally ๐งโโ๏ธ
I genuinely dont see whats wrong with this shirt because Mark didnโt wear it in a bad way? Jay Park wore it too and hes the biggest advocate for the black community. Theyโre reclaiming the flag
ngl yall dgaf about black ppl or any non white ppl being hurt time and time again by ignorant and stupid idols, yall turn everything into fanwars happy to see an idol you hate getting dragged but donโt give a damn about the people who were hurt, thatโs the real problem
I just don't understand why people get so upset about black fans getting the licks in. I promise you that whatever his career trajectory is gonna land is not gonna disappear because black fans rightfully get angry and maybe talk some shit ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
@p1eceh0ttie I'm guessing maybe he feels guilty about it when it happens but atp we know he doesn't want his fans acting that and if they continue to act like that, it's not on him to feel guilt anymore
