Why only "half credit" back? What grading research says to do that?? We just make this stuff up. There is no average time to learn something so why do we punish kids who take longer to learn it?
During the 86th Legislative Session, @GovAbbott and the Legislature prioritized school safety with the passage of SB 11. Continuing the progress that has been made, TEA is proud to announce the creation of the School Safety and Security Grant. #txed
A2: As much as possible, give "on the spot feedback". It requires good relationships and trust, but most lessons have natural breaks where you can have a quick chat with the T. If not, jot the note before you walk out of the room. #LeadLAP
Have a student you're struggling with?
Try the 'two-by-ten' strategy:
For two minutes each day, 10 days in a row, have a personal conversation with the #student about anything the student is interested in.
Wonderfully simple and wildly effective.

#ThoughtForTheDay Why can’t every month look like August and May? #Culturize ...because our kids and staff deserve for us to bring our very best version of who we are every day!
#ThoughtForTheDay Over time our voices as principals can unintentionally become background noise. What if we turned over some faculty meetings to staff & students to hear their voices, observe teaching/ learning & team building, & help develop their leadership skills? #Culturize
