Vision doesn’t unite people. It actually divides people. It separates the people who will from the people who won’t and that’s good. When you start to move forward there will be people who get off the train. This will make you aware of who’s with you.

Your “right place” often comes after an uncomfortable season. Why? Until your misery factor exceeds your fear factor, you won’t change.

Bitterness and negativity are contagious. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you are invincible.
The most expensive thing you can do is spend time with the wrong people. #WakeUp #hangUp #WalkAway #seepsIntoYourPores #mirrorNeurons #lookitUp

Although Saul was more popular than David he was rejected by God. Fame and popularity is not the goal. To have Favor with God is the goal.

Christ reverses the consequences of sin & restores God’s original plan of creation, so God’s plan for humans can be accomplished in Him

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Because humans are God’s image creature, He can dwell in us; our nature is enough like His that we can become the temple of His Spirit

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Because humans are God’s image creature, God could come as a sinless human; we are enough like God that He could assume human identity

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Unlike animals, humans can worship God & commune with Him; we have a spiritual, moral, rational, and emotional nature like that of God

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Humans are created in the image of God; this refers primarily to moral & spiritual likeness, for God is Spirit

Following Jesus is an individual commitment based on personal relationship; we shouldn't compare ourselves to others (2 Cor 10:12)

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

"Follow" is not merely a call to intellectual belief or verbal confession, but supremely it is a call to discipleship

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Since Jesus is the Lord, we must obey Him. He asked, "Why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46).

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

When Jesus said, "Follow me" (Luke 9:23), He gave both an invitation and a command. It is simple, unconditional, authoritative.

INSPIRATION gets you started, DISCIPLINE keeps you going

Create a positive environment and culture in which problems can be addressed directly and promptly.

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Leadership 12: Be proactive. Handle what is most important not most urgent. Cast vision & develop plans that prevent or overcome problems.

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Leadership 11: Think outside the box. Look for creative ideas, solutions, methods while maintaining Apostolic identity.

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Leadership 9: Trust but verify. Operate with trust, but don’t be naïve, falsely optimistic, inattentive. Develop lines of accountability.

[David K. Bernard @davidkbernard]

Leadership 8: Delegate and empower. This involves delegation of both authority and responsibility, which should be equal.
