@JeffPassan In a season where my favorite player (Matt Williams) was weirdly chasing Maris after 3 HR's on opening day started a tear for him, my favorite team looked like a WS contender . . .they struck on my birthday (8/11) . . . the memory still makes me sick in my stomach
@JustinTinsley What a time to be alive. I was at Cal Poly SLO at the time, pretty much exactly halfway between SoCal (LA) and NorCal (Dubs still sucked, so everyone north of Salinas was a Kings fan) The watch parties/bars during those 9 days is a Top 3 sports experience all time for me.
@TaylorTwellman Itโs not lack of athleticism. Itโs lack of a cohesive development program. World soccer is socialist (free academies in rural and urban areas all feeding to top club and country) USA soccer is pure capitalism (pay to play patchwork w/ no defined path to top club/country)
The Kars4Kids jingle is no more in California โ at least for now.
An Orange County judge banned the charityโs ads statewide after finding they violated false advertising law, saying the spots hid where the money actually goes and who benefits.
@gggiants College baseball of the present is a very edgy, very in your face (what us old timers used to call "pop-offs") It's bat-flipping, crowing, dugout chirping insanity. I wonder if Buster's whole intent with hiring Vitello is to bring that "eff you, let's fight" energy. Might work
