Bassem Naim, a senior Hamas official:
โWe congratulate Spain on its well-deserved FIFA World Cup victory, and we congratulate Palestine and its supporters on their joy. Even if this victory did nothing more than disappoint the Zionists and their supporters, that alone would be enough.โ

๐น Defense Minister Israel Katz: โThe important thing: those neighborhoods like Jabaliya, Shujaโiyya, which we only controlled a part of - are destroyed. In ruins.โ
Interviewer: โWhen you see Gaza destroyed like this, how do you feel?โ
Katz: โWhat do I feel? Feel good. What, this is all the result of a deliberate policy that [was designed] to remove threats. Instead of the method of raids - enter, exit, and Hamas returns - the IDF is inside, the residents are outside, and the houses are destroyed.โ
Katz: โWe are not retreating from the yellow line, unequivocally, as long as Hamas does not truly disarm. And even after that, we will remain in Gaza!โ
๐น Major General Tamir Yadai, deputy chief of staff of the Israeli military: โI donโt know how to describe this [situation] other than victory. When you control 65% of the territory [of the Gaza Strip], when 70,000 terrorists have been killed here, when the majority of the population is in the beach sinceโฆ for a second summer there already, when the IDF is inside The Strip with a different [scale of deployment] than before, when thereโs a full freedom of operation.โ
๐น Major General Yaniv Assor, commander of the Israeli militaryโs southern command: โOver the last period, [since Operation Lionโs Roar], there have been 300 [targeted assassinations] in The Strip.โ
