in my 4th year of snail keeping I finally found a single striped grove snail in the colony in our yard

it’s like finding a shiny pokemon!

last year was the first year we found solid color shells - here are a few examples along with some other striking shell patterns

4代目チャコウラ、単眼のピピちゃん。初ゆびのせ〜してみたら緊張ぎみ！ごめんね💦個室にしてから少しふっくらしてきた様子。ゆっくり食べられるようになったみたい。単眼なのも表情が際立って愛らしいねえ💕
