This is a must-play game! In space, no one can hear you scream… but you’ll be screaming with joy!
Alien Breed: Special Edition '92 (1992, Commodore Amiga).
Team17’s legendary Gauntlet-meets-Aliens top-down shooter — the expanded budget re-release that became a massive Amiga classic!
You have to blast through 12 brand new levels (double the original) as a lone marine fighting hordes of vicious aliens in dark, claustrophobic space station corridors. Can you get better than this? So much fun.
Features a brilliant “Dark Mission” mode where only the aliens’ glowing eyes are visible! Just when you didn't think this game could get more intense!
This Special Edition was a huge success — it stayed in the UK charts for over a year and helped put Team17 on the map.
It had absolutely gorgeous graphics, atmospheric sound, and pure addictive carnage.
How did the magazines rate it?
Amiga Format rated it a solid 87%, rightfully saying, "For those of you who haven't played the original, and if you enjoy a good shoot-'em-up, they don't come much better than this."
Amiga Power rated it 83%, calling it "A must buy."
If you haven't played it yet, do... if you have, what did you think of this edition?

Rolling Thunder turns 40 this year. It was developed by Namco and released in 1986.
Highly addictive and brutally hard, it was considered one of the toughest games of its time.
You play as Albatross, a secret agent from the elite "Rolling Thunder" unit. Your mission is to rescue your captured partner, Leila Blitz, from the terrorist group Geldra and its leader Maboo. 80s games didn’t have very deep stories, but honestly who cared? :)
It had a cool spy-thriller style inspired by 1960s espionage movies (hello, James Bond!) and helped pave the way for later hits like Shinobi.
