Just refund to me a one time 100% lump sum of all I paid in at a generous 5% compounded interest. Tax free
And never take another penny from my paycheck
We’ll call it even
I don’t want $9k per kid. I want all immigrants out of the country so I can send my kids to good schools again.
That’s it. Get the third worlders out, almost every other issue solves itself.
@broadwaybabyto This man should be given a medal and all you women that support this monster should find out what it feel like to be strangled with an exercise band.
The Confederate States of America is one of the great "what-ifs" of alternate history. I don't believe anyone, not even Harry Turtledove, ever really did justice to what the world would have been like, had Davis and Lee been triumphant.
The war was only peripherally about slavery; it was centrally a question of a state's right to secede under the constitution, and Jefferson Davis would have proved that in court had he been put on trial (which is why he wasn't).
Had the South survived the North's illegal war of conquest, it is undoubtedly the case that the world we all grew up in would have been far less chaotic.
With a near-peer rival on the continent, the United States would have been far less likely to set about the path to world domination, which might have seen a German victory in WWI, which most serious historians concede would have been a better outcome for all involved.
With no Treaty of Versailles, there's little need for the NSDAP. The Kaiser rules on, as does his cousins across Europe. With no American declaration of war in early April, there would be less/no reason for the Kaiser to dispatch his biological weapons; Lenin and the Communists, via train to Russia.
Hopefully he would have just had them quietly killed.
So, no USSR.
Germany would have been powerful, certainly a rival to the UK, but nowhere near as powerful as it would have been, had the Austrian painter defeated and annexed the resources of the Rodina.
Germany would have kept the UK in check in Europe and the CSA would have kept the USA in check in the Americas.
What a wonderful world we missed out on.
...and slavery would have ended anyhow.
-You’re the South.
- You basically created America (Washington, Jefferson, Madison etc)
- You forge American culture (Lewis and Clark, Andrew Jackson, David Crockett)
- You dominate American politics for 80 years and create the best orators in history (Calhoun, Stephens, Davis)
- You just want to be left alone.
- You realize the North is never going to leave you alone. They believe in a Centralized Union.
- They’re importing millions of immigrants that don’t share your culture or political views.
- They’re expanding West and attempting to encircle you.
- Their population and therefore political influence is growing rapidly. Up till now you’ve been able to balance expansion but that’s come to an obvious end.
- Murderous terrorist randomly kills White Southern families including women and children, spurred on by the everyday propaganda coming out of the North.
- You decide the only way to protect your future and your way of life is to peacefully leave the Union and be left alone.
- North invades you. Slaughter ensues. Sherman marches to the sea.
- 100 years later your voting bloc makes a last stand to save America but as was predicted they were completely outvoted.
- Everything they feared the North would do came to pass and now their grand children are killed by illegal truck drivers named Singh or stabbed to death on a Texas football field for no reason.
The only reason they villainize the South is because the South was always right.
Fly the flag.
